Scenario: You are the SpR in a community mental health team. John Slater is the brother of Sally Slater, a 37 year old who is under your team. She has been behaving bizarrely, with confusion and recent new-onset paranoia. You have previously recently seen John and Sally together in clinic, and requested a CT scan for routine screening. The results of the scan have just come back, and showed a 4cm mass in the frontal lobe. It is unclear whether the mass has spread to any other parts of the brain. You have made arrangements for an urgent appointment. Today, John has attended on his sister’s behalf at her request. Please explain to John the results of the scan and answer any questions he may have.
